Service Description

Waist beads are an ancient African tradition worn by women of all shapes and sizes. Traditionally a status symbol, they are worn in celebration of one's spirituality, fertility, sexuality, wealth and divine feminine energy. Customize yours with symbolic colors to aid in your spiritual practice, or add extra charms to reflect your personal style! All materials are included in this workshop, you will have a huge variety of the best quality seed beads to choose from, and may also create a pattern or add focal beads with any of our Czech glass mixes. Durable nylon beading cord and a base metal clasp are also included, and if you would like them tied on 'permanently' we will provide a fitting on request. If you would like to upgrade to semi precious stone beads we have a few special mixes you may use for an additional $10. Sterling silver and gold-filled clasps are also available for a few dollars more. Want to bring a friend or arrange a small group? Up to 3 additional guests may attend, a single reservation secures your timeslot with the remaining enrollment fees due the day of. Please leave us a note on your booking form with how many you expect to attend, larger parties can be arranged by contacting us directly.
