Message in a Bottle

We are going to use this month's make & take and kick the whole project into overdrive, you are going to learn so much from this one little necklace! After filling it with treasures and good intentions, we will wire wrap the neck of the bottle, and create a beaded chain for the cork. We will then attach the bottle to knotting cord or leather using barrel knots, and the length will be adjustable with the creation of a sliding knot instead of a clasp.

This class is open to everyone, and is best suited for confident beginners. Any experience with wire and using jewelry pliers will be very helpful, but is not required. Making wire-wrapped loops is a cornerstone of jewelry making and once you get comfortable with that technique, you are going to be able to make so many other things! Barrel knots and sliding knots are also extremely versatile and make an economical and hypo allergenic choice over traditional metal clasps and chains.  This session is intended for those who want to build their jewelry making skills and is designed to teach you multiple techniques in a short amount of time. Complete this class and you can then create earrings, rosary chains, station necklaces and so much more!
